Times of Contradiction
We have larger houses but smaller families, more comfort, but less time. We have more education, but less understanding, more knowledge, but less insight, more experts, but more problems, more medicine, but less good health.
We have reached the moon, but we have problems crossing the street to meet our neighbors.
We invent more and more powerful computers and produce more and more information for which more paper is consumed than ever before, but less communication in our lives.
We get more and more in terms of quantity, but less and less in terms of quality. These are the times of fast food and bad digestion, of inflated egos, but little personality, of high profits, but superficial friendship.
These are the times of showing off with no substantial background.

The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty.

What is Future Vision?
The Future Vision Plan is The Rotary Foundation’s new grant model to support district and club humanitarian and educational projects. Under Future Vision, the Foundation offers only two types of grants: district grants and global grants. District grants are block grants that allow clubs and districts to address immediate needs in their communities and abroad. Global grants fund large international humanitarian projects, vocational training teams, and scholarships that have sustainable, measurable outcomes in one or more of the areas of focus. Read More

Grant Structure
District Grants District grants are block grants made to districts for up to 50 percent of their District Designated Fund (DDF). District grants offer the flexibility to respond quickly to immediate needs or to plan projects with clubs locally or in other countries.
Global grants support large international projects with sustainable, high-impact outcomes in the six areas of focus that correspond to the Foundation's mission.
Areas of Focus
The Trustees of The Rotary Foundation have identified six areas of focus for the new grant structure. These areas reflect critical humanitarian issues and needs that Rotarians are addressing worldwide. They will align Rotary with other international development efforts and will strategically further Rotary’s Mission. (Read More)

Global Grants
Rotary Foundation Global Grants support large international activities with sustainable high-impact outcomes in one or more of the six areas of focus have a long-term impact. Clubs and districts can either create their own activities or sponsor packaged global grants that are developed by The Rotary Foundation in cooperation with its strategic partners.
